Charles "Chuck" Sherman, has been named the first president of the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) and oversees the expanded services of the Foundation. In addition to his new position, Sherman remained senior vice president, Television of the National Association of Broadcasters. On May 28, 1998, the NAB issued a press release announcing the promotion Chuck Sherman to the level of Executive Vice-President.

According to the 1990 Temple Unversity Alumni Directory published in 1990 shows Chuck receiving his BS from Temple's School of Business. In 1963, he earned his masters and three years later was granted his ph.d from Dartmouth. He lives and works in the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

During his time at WRTI, Chuck served as Sports Director

From Chuck Sherman....I talked with Bill Seibel yesterday (May 4, 1998), and he is as funny and sarcastic as ever. He is off to Spain in June. We get to see each other in Philadelphia and Washington, and I always give him a lot of credit for encouraging me to get a PhD. Also, Lew Klein and I work together on many industry projects. He is well-regarded by his colleagues for his untiring efforts on behalf of broadcasting and students. We were all fortunate to have professors like John, Del, Bill, and Lew who gave us a love for our profession as well as a sense of what public service means.

On October 20, 1958, the Temple University News ran an article about Chuck Sherman and her radio air shift on WHAT. Read the story.

From Dick Goldhaber....I knew Chuck Sherman from Central High School, but I don't remember him from Temple...but I have had no contact with him for 40 years.
