Jerry Henderson

His Story

The following is an e-mail from Jerry Henderson to Gerry Wilkinson.

You certainly may list my e-mail address. Also, feel free to list the web site for which I am responsible: http://www.bca.cmich.edu. I am webmaster for the Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Department of Central Michigan University.

John Roberts suggested I consider college teaching about February 1, 1964 -- I had never given it a thought. I got into it and never left -- though I've had a couple doggoned good job offers in the process. I have been managing college student radio since fall 1964 with the exception of 5 and one-half years from 1975-1981. I have loved every minute of it. As part of my creative endeavors efforts, I am putting together a proposed national radio drama writing competition. More about that in a couple weeks. The site looks nice. Navigating it will become easier as it gets more coordinated. Keep it up! --and keep in touch.

Best regards, Jerry

The following is an e-mail from Jerry Henderson to Jerry Klein.

Hi Jerry, It's me again.

Can you give me Del Dusenbury's and John Roberts' addresses and phone numbers?

I was just perusing the remarks section and would like to tell them about what's happening here -- especially in the area of radio drama (many are beginning to call it "Audio Theatre").

Also, I'm attaching a current picture of me, taken by a student earlier this month with a digital camera while I worked on this computer at my desk --the computer in the background is the second one. I'm operating on both MAC and Windows platforms and am Webmaster for the Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Department here at Central Michigan University (www.bca.cmich.edu).

I better stop thed nostalgia streak (I turn a very young 60 on Nov. 19) and get back to work.

Best regards,
Jerry Henderson
