Surveying traffic that seemingly moves at a snails-pace across the Walt Whitman Bridge, Tom Stanwood, BS '59, broadcasts a report on traffic conditions from an Atlantic "Go-Patrol" helicopter. Stanwood, one of a team of air-bound announcers, had no previous flying experience being taking the "Go-Patrol" job. Now he logs nearly 40 hours of air time a week. He considers the broadcasts a reporting and expediting service for the public, expects the number of stations broadcasting the Patrol's reports to expand from the present 10.
