Dick "Richie" Cooper, His Story

Dick "Richie" Cooper

His Story

The following is an e-mail from Dick Cooper to Gerry Wilkinson....Greetings to all WRTI'ers. My wife of 33 years and former 'RTIer, Mary Ellen (Redmile) Cooper, and I are now living in the mountains of central Pennsylvania (Centre County), a few miles north of Penn State. We left the Philadelphia area behind five years ago for life in the woods (an old farm). For those who
remember me, yes, I still enjoy country music, which I hosted on 'RTI-FM during '63 and '64 school year. I served as FM station manager in my senior year and graduated 2/64 with a BS in Business, major in Radio-TV. I worked for WPHL-TV 17 one year(their first), moved on to the Philadelphia Zoo as PR Director for 12 years, and did weekly "What's New At The Zoo" reports for KWY News Radio during the '70s; switched to a PR agency as vp/account supervisor, worked as director of marketing communications with a Bell Atlantic computer maintenance company (a former client); moved back to PR agency side, then cashed in my chips and moved to Central PA, where I'm Director of Corporate Communication for a growing, national bottler of spring water. So, there's a 34-year update in a nut shell. Drop me an email.
