An e-mail from Mike Muderick...Dick Swayze was last at WCAU-TV for a number of years . I think he is still there. At least from late '60's to 94-5. He worked with Charlie Higgins, (not a Temple guy) who also was an engineer at WHHS in Havertown, my alma mater.

An e-mail from Mike Biel...Wright appeared on the scene in the late spring 65 after the famous FCC Raid. I recall there were two Temple electronics students who were the chief engineers when I arrived and that they quit near the beginning of the spring semister. The transmitter then broke down, and they hired a kid from U of Pa, who proceeded to put in a replacement higher powered exciter from the warehouse ITA stock, and the rest is history!

An e-mail from Al Maslin...In reference to the article about Dick Swayze who was the professional engineer at WRTI for a while, he didn't just disappear. After working for WTOP Dick came back to Philly and has been working for WCAU-TV for many years. He spends most of his time at the WCAU-TV transmitter site in Roxborough.
