Whoops, somehow the sentence was supposed to read "GK and MS", not just "MS." And actually, since you referred to Klein as my roomate, I should mention that there WERE several other people who were my previous roomates who were WRTI people--but they were not very long involved.

I can't remember the name of my first roommate, but he dropped out of school in the middle of his sophmore year. He was spending all his time massaging his supposedly balding head instead of studying. This guy had thought he was hot stuff because he was a soph. and had been on the station for a year. But he had a case of COMPLETE mic-fright for his first newscast of the year. Like, he just stammered and had to be cut off. A few days later he loused up his classical music show by pronouncing Haydn as "Hay-den" instead of "Hi-den".

When he dropped out I moved in with Larry Howard, who was on WRTI but not very active.

There also was Marty Ableman and Steve Tannenbaum. They were very active on the station during my freshman year, but they got in trouble for pulling some stunt and got kicked off the staff. They dropped out of school at the end of the year.

And over in the girl's dorm was Barbara Alexander, of course.

And down the hall from me was Ron Wirtheimer.

See what jet-lag can do! We DID have a larger WRTI crew in the dorms that my addled brain had remembered a few hours ago.
