As usual the great Biel is correct. We did have ITA cartridge machines at WRTI. And Mike was right, they were terrible. They actually placed a huge pop on the air when the cart started. I remember, in order to avoid this, hitting the cart start button and then immediately throwing the key on the cart machine pot over to program so that the pop was not going out over the air.
Also, ITA was an independent company (loaded with former Triangle people). Later, many of the same people formed CCA. We used the CCA consoles in both air studios at WDAS in the seventies.
