Here is a story for you.
At its inception WRTI-FM was a majestic 10 watts, enough to allow it
to be received in West Oak Lane.
I had the 4-5 shift on Friday night 40 years ago, and RCA Red Seal
records had made a deal with FM management to supply classical records
for FM to play.
4-5 on Friday night was my shift, and I always played what I had
stolen from WIP's previous top 20, since we never had all of the
records.
I said to my mother "please listen and then call to protest the change".
My mother, who passed away shortly after, forgot.
I have forgiven her.
